About us?

Bonded by a common dream!

Meridiem, or the South in latin, is above all a story of encounter! We are both originally from the south of France and have been friends for over 20 years. We have often dreamed, each in our own way, of owning our own vineyard. Our encounter gave us the push we needed! Not coming from winemaking families, we had to build everything from scratch, and had the opportunity to choose where to settle. In 2013, we made the decision to move to China to export wines from Languedoc and build a strong export network as a basis. However, Covid-19 brought us back to France sooner than expected, in 2022, before we had managed to gather the necessary funds to realize our original goal: acquiring our own vineyard. This setback led us to imagine, in 2023, the concept of "Hybrid Wine Merchant," which led to the creation of our project, Meridiem. This "Hybrid Wine Merchant" approach allows us to continue expanding our commercial network while learning the work in the vineyard and the cellar, and continuing to gather the funds needed to acquire our own vineyard.

Our values

Learn and value our Terroir

After years of traveling to the four corners of the world, we chose to settle in the heart of Languedoc, in Montpellier, where Paola is originally from. We work closely with trusted winemakers and oenologists to create the specifications for each of our cuvées and to craft the wine profiles we envision. To do this, we carefully select parcels with our winemakers (based on their orientation and altitude). We learn the work in the vines from the winemakers and jointly plan the harvest. Then, in the cellar, with the help of our oenologists, we create our own blends. We are committed to respecting the terroir and its resources, emphasizing the production of wines certified HVE and Organic. Our journey is driven by the desire to give Languedoc wines, particularly from the Terrasses du Larzac, visibility and accessibility in all the export markets we have been developing since 2013, through laidback, approachable brands, all while respecting our terroir, resources, and the work of our winemakers.

Preserving our biodiversity

Sustainable winegrowers

Our regional commitment is also part of a more global dimension. Indeed, our wines are all certified Sustainable Winegrowing, a cause that values the social, economic and environmental factors of our region.
