Through Meridiem, or the South in Latin, we wanted to pay tribute to our roots, our History, and our region, all this expressed in an artistic way in our cuvées.
Our DNA relies on bringing the spotlight on our beautiful Region, crafting local cuvées, respectful of our resources, of our terroir, of the winegrowers' work... but also with a decomplexed tone.
Our cuvées Germaine et Marcel are the perfect representation of our DNA at Meridiem.
Germaine and Marcel highlight the nomes and the faces of these emblematic winegrowers of the village of Villeveyrac, in the heart of Hérault, where Paola is from.

This link with the winegrowers of Villeveyrac, embodied by Germaine and Marcel, reflects our desire to put the locality at the heart of our philosophy.

Each of these photos, taken in the 1930s was entrusted to us by the winegrowers' children or grandchildren, through some highly moving family testimonies, loaded with memories.
Through our cuvées Germaine and Marcel, we wanted to pay tribute to these two winegrowers, along with all the others, by giving them the central place they deserve.
We added some color to Germaine and Marcel to materialize the subtle bond uniting tradition and modernity in the wine world.

By integrating colors and modern abjects to ancient photos, we also wanted to materialize the invisible link that brings together the past, present, and future generations of winegrowers.

These captivating images are an invitation to smile, to escape towards a world where wine is both an art and a human adventure. Each bottle immortalizes a specific moment, mixing the history of past generations and their passionate work, with a humoristic touch.

Without further ado, let us introduce you Germaine and Marcel.
ln fact, it seems they just made it here!

Germaine, born in Villeveyrac in 1901, never left her "little corner of paradise", as she used to call it. She married and raised her family there, and above all, she grew and develop her agricultural activity that she dearly cherished. Winegrower with a strong temper, she managed her vineyard with unmatched skills at a time when women were rare at this kind of position.

The first thing her son, Daniel, told us about his mother was the tender memory of the day Germaine lost her glasses during the harvest. "Thot day, she kept complaining and mumbling, hands on her hips. That posture characterized her so well", he confessed to us. Luckily, we found and gave her back her glasses, and of course immortalized her favorite posture.

Marcel was the good-time Charlie of Villeveyrac. Born in 1903, he handled with enthusiasm the 4th generation of the family vineyard.
Marcel was also owning the local grocery store, which was THE meeting point where everyone liked to gather, creating a deep social link at the core of the village. Marcel knew everybody, and everybody knew Marcel!

Gourmet, generous, and passionate about music, his daughter Simone, told us he loved to whistle around in the vines during the harvest! What a better idea than gifting him a modern-day headset to listen to his favorite playlist while working!?
